I've taken a lot of experimental pictures holding a loupe up to my cell phone camera. They weren't bad, but it was awkward trying to hold both. I have posted some of the pictures in these forums.
I started researching macro photography with a cell camera for those times I didn't have my Canon or my loupe with me.
I found this app today! 'Cozy Magnifier & Microscope'. There is a free version and a $0.99 version. Of course I got the free one, because that's how I roll.
Below are some actual shots I took with it today. Zero post processing other than resizing to 100kb or less to be able to post here.
Anyway, I've seen a lot of not so great pictures being posted and thought this might help someone who has a crappy camera or is out and about and finds a coin they want to post and ask about before they buy it!
(These were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S3 & the macro app)
Not sure what happened there. But here are the pics again.
