Advice On Electrical Noise - Coin Community Forum

pawpaw34 Valued Member United States 331 Posts	Posted 08/03/2013 12:59 pm Ok this is a little out of the norm. I have 4 mettler toledo metal detectors mounted on product lines. All are the same models, settings and installed on the same kind of product lines. Well the problem is one of the units scale will fly all over the spectrum. The rep swears it is electrical noise and may very well be. But I have not been able to elminate it if that is the problem. All electrical is identical to each including unit installation. MetDet71 Pillar of the Community United Kingdom 1570 Posts	Posted 08/09/2013 5:48 pm what materials are you putting in front of the head, are you swinging the machine, are you dry or wet testing, what material are you testing - gold, silver, low silver, copper, ali or junk iron etc., are you getting this problem on switch on or on search, there is a lot more info we need. pawpaw34 Valued Member United States 331 Posts	Posted 08/10/2013 2:02 pm Actually found the culprit today. There was an air blow off for rejected product. The solenoid was not gasketed properly. The movement of the valve was enough to false trigger the head. Met det thanks for the responce though. Report this Post to the Staff
