Sap Moderator Australia 16894 Posts	Posted 12/17/2013 8:11 pm Unfortunately, it is not genuine. This design was used on silver coins; this coin is not silver. Such "wrong metal" fake coins are frequently sold to tourists visiting Lebanon, Syria, Turkey etc. Further evidence this coin is not genuine: the left side of the "A" in the king's name is missing; it hasn't been worn away, it's simply gone, making the king's name look more like INTIOXOY rather than ANTIOXOY. Presumably the coin this was originally copied from was somewhat off-centre and this detail was off the flan. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
