I'm new at looking at coins for more than just spending and I have a hundred questions. The rim on this coin is intact so I'm thinking this was done at the mint. Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 11/21/2017 5:16 pm Looks like an under-pressure strike or an extreme Grease Fill. Weight will determine. Either there wasn't enough hydraulic impact pressure to force the metal into all the die details or it is a thin planchet. Under weight will indicate thin stock planchet. Normal weight will be a grease filled strike (or be PMD). Normal weight=3.11gr. My gut says low pressure strike, rims are not defined, meaning the coin was not fully compressed inward to form fields and detail image and outwards to the collar to form the rim offset. I'd keep the coin and mark it as such. No, it isn't worth much of a premium. $1-$2, maybe, if the wind is blowing right. BTW, to the forum! Report this Post to the Staff
