Just wanted to share with the group my 1981 JD $1 FRN that I acquired in 2004 for $191. The stated condition from my purchase was VF.

Still a very good example of a fairly rare note. I have not seen one available - although I know others may have.

Please let me know what you think!

Very cool note Roger, and listed on Robert Azpiazu's 10 Rarest Non-Star FRN's as number one rarest.
I have a friend that knew I had been looking for an uncirculated example for years. He emailed me a link to an upcoming Stacks-Bowers auction, and now I am steward of a very nice rarity. I clipped the auction description from the catalog after I won the note.

VF looks like a fair assessment of your note, fair price also.

Very nice note Steve. I think you were the one that mentioned you had one in a high grade - so it made me go look at what I had. Not looking to upgrade my note at this time - since I am putting my girls through college right now - very happy with what I have - but yours really looks nice!

It's fun to show some of my notes to others!

No idea at all what something like this is worth, but an old timer like me finds it difficult to believe that a 3.2 million print run could be that big a deal, especially with many likely survivors. Glad I don't collect this sort of thing!

Thanks for sharing, Roger!

I know very little about notes, but I learned a bit more from this.

Keep an eye out for this one also.
Series 1988A $1 block F-N (FW) . Very few were printed in Fort Worth. Most F-N block notes were printed in Washington DC, regular and WEB notes.
