Need Help.. Have A 1991 Rare DD Penny In Question.

LcStar New Member United States 40 Posts	Posted 08/22/2018 01:00 am So, my son and I just started getting penny rolls from the bank to go through and I think I found a rare! I have a 1991 no mint mark double die penny. You can see the doubling on the 99 in the date, actually looking at it you can see the whole date doubled. The Liberty, the LIBER are doubled. I took pics but need help. Haven't found anything on it. Any feedback would be so appreciated! Report this Post to the Staff

spru Bedrock of the Community United States 12477 Posts	Posted 08/22/2018 02:11 am The second nine may be MD ( Machine Doubling - no value) or possibly Die Deterioration Doubling ( DDD); I see it on the last 1, as well.. LIBERTY looks like Die Deterioration. By the way, no mint mark means it came from the Philadelphia Mint. Having no mint mark means it was from the Philadelphia Mint.
