The Brasher Dubloon auction earlier this year set a solid second place at $9+ million just below the 1794 Flowing Hair dollar at $10 million. Some dealers estimate around a $13 million price tag, others as much as $23 million. I fall a bit towards the middle at $16m. Report this Post to the Staff

Face value 1 million but yeah. 1933 double eagle would be most expensive as I think it sold for 20million with 10million going to the US government. Report this Post to the Staff

Split 50/50 with the US Government , Since our American cousins Love a huge show , the 20 Dollars was a big show of the signing ceremony of US Treasury monetizing the Coin. A good read Alison Frankels book on The Double Eagle . Also you can watch on YouTube the original sale . If the coin sold today in this market 15 to 17 million would not surprise! One thing is for sure Better coins are bringing very good prices these Days in all parts of the market . More and more individuals are looking at investment alternatives .
