Type B Washington Quarters.who Knew?

One50 Valued Member United States 361 Posts	Posted 07/06/2023 11:41 pm I have never heard of a Type B Washington quarter before. I saw it mentioned in a grading post a few minutes ago. I looked it up and, WOW. Type A, B and C. from 1956 to 1962? I want to say, everyone here is so cool and you learn something new all the time on this forum. Keep it up, I love it. So here is what I did. I pulled out all my quarters from 1956 - 1962. Checked them all for Type B. I found 2 in my collection and would you believe they are both in original mint packs still. They are in very nice shape. I would say easy MS65/66 maybe higher. One is 1958 the other is 1962...how exciting. Do I cut them out of the mint packs and send them in? I do hate cutting original packaging. But I'm trying to tell myself it's for the greater good. Report this Post to the Staff

Just be aware they will be the ones cutting them open to encapsulate them. southsav Pillar of the Community 2224 Posts	Posted 07/07/2023 11:42 am Congrats on your finds! Check the value range of those in different grades and recent sales on the bay. I'm not so sure slabbing would very cost effective. The 1956 in a gem MS grade would be. IMO Report this Post to the Staff
