Getting better at picture taking I suppose. Does anybody know if a picture format (jpeg, gif, bit) work better?

I would love to find/identify a true MS penny so I get the hang of what to look for. I may even break down and buy a graded one. Thoughts about this one? Still not the best lighting.

First you have to know what you are looking for.
For circulation coins Brilliant Uncirculated and MS are the same thing.

right, then when a coin won't or can't make the grade of MS the next grade down from there is AU (Almost Uncirculated)

Thank you all. I recently AU was under MS, but I wasn't clear on the whole uncirculated thing. I thought perhaps it actually mean "uncirculated", like the mint did them special or something. Nice to see the terms.

Pics too soft or glaring to see surface details clearly.
