Plating Moderns To Sell As Bu?

This coin is being sold as BU. The obverse has a "filled D mint mark". When I look at the lines of Independence Hall, or that Machine Doubling on dollar, or the text of EPU, I see a really mushy appearance. There is clear Die Deterioration, but even so, a BU coin should have sharp relief from the field. That softening of all the edges makes me think plated.

If we could see the rim, I guess it would be obvious. But that wouldn't work on something like a nickel.
