commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12258 Posts	Posted 11/22/2023 08:55 am From time to time, I spend some time over in the "Post Your..." area of CCF presenting classic and/or modern US commemorative coins that share a particular design element/theme (e.g., Coins with Ships, Coins with Animals, Coins with Trees, etc.). One topic area to which I contributed is the Coins Depicting Places Thread. I especially like this thread as most coins posted include images of the "place" depicted on the coin - it is quite a scrapbook! I have previously presented an Index to "Place" commemorative coins of the classic era, see it here: US Commemorative Coins Depicting Places. Recently, I've been posting coins from the US modern era. There have been quite a few in the modern era, so I have split the Index into two time periods: 1982-1999 and 2000-present.
