I really have to make sure I get this photo right. This is a Deep Cameo, Proof 69 Kennedy half, and it has to show in the photos. The first 7 photos are variations of the first photo I worked on, and photo # 8 is another photo with no adjustments made.

Which photo is best, or do none of them really show the Deep Cameo, Proof 69?

#4 shows it the best IMO. More work needed to fully bring it out. Try angling it back a bit against a black velvet background. That's how I photograph my coins.

Thanks, Dave.

This is a different photo with no adjustments. What's your opinion on this one?

Not bad. You can definitely see the cameo. Proofs are pretty hard to photograph. It is much like #8 and that one I like too. Hopefully, we'll have some other opinions soon.

I think that modern proofs look best if you can get as much contrast between the devise and field as possible.

I like both 3 and 8, but as was stated eariler a black background will help. I would also move my lighting off to the side a little to help bring out the cameo and to reduce the reflection from the field.

I would say number 8. It looks the best in my opinion. Hope this helps.

I like #2 and #8 the best. Angling the shot and the light is good advise.
