Help Me Identify This 92 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC

estedman Valued Member United States 180 Posts	Posted 08/27/2013 8:36 pm I found this 92 Penny last night while looking for CAMs. The AM seem very wide apart compared to other 92s. I have attached pics of the very wide and the normal. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/27/2013 8:40 pm That is just a normal Wide AM. The "M" is centered. The Close AM the "M" is to the left of center. There can not be a different location that these two. The master dies make only these two styles. When a die is polished, the devices(letters in this case) will end up being further away from each other; because they are imprinted on the die in a beveled manner. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/28/2013 02:59 am Here is an example of an over polished date that the first digit was thinned. This happened on 1962-1968 cents. If the die had a very strong clash in that area they may have over worked in that area. Report this Post to the Staff
