907Sammy New Member United States 24 Posts	Posted 10/31/2014 10:01 pm Hi all I'm new to collecting. I got lots of silver dollars and other coins from my dad. I have really no idea what I'm doing. I've been looking through the site before I registered and hope I have the right thread. So here goes. First coin says 1890 CC VAM-5. It's in a cardboard with plastic. Can anyone tell me what VAM-5 is? And can anyone tell me if it's ok to sell for $80? That's what someone has offered me for it. Thank you for any information. After reading many threads on this site last night, I am more than impressed with all of the resources and links. I was like a sponge and I think I have a mild headache from all the reading lol.
