I too had no idea Newfoundland coins are being faked;

Is there a database for faked coins out there so the community can be apprised, and know what to look for?

I had heard of 1948 silver dollars, but nothing else.

Also, if any of you can recall the story from about twenty five years ago, there was a guy in Edmonton who was busted for making fake loonies - they were close but very crappy ~ I do have one that I got from my mom's (then) boyfriend, he was a manager of a local grocery store, and while the RCMP were collecting them (I don't think any left Alberta) from Alberta retailers, he put one aside for me.
I figured that it's worthless, but to me, it's a neat item to have.

Just remember, as repeated over and over in this thread (not a grey area), it's illegal to possess.

You need to learn respect for me. You don't know who I am or what I am capable of knowing or doing. SPP Ottawa I could care less about.

I'm 100% certain DD is a troll with the typical holier-than-thou attitude. It's time to ignore him.

Also, YOU don't know who I am, or what I am capable of doing. I'm not respecting anyone who doesn't respect others.
