A raw 1930-S Buff. Nice hole filler. Nothing too exciting, but looks decent enough. Thoughts on a grade?

I'm quite happy with a VF-25 for the $1.25 outlay :P

This is just a typical F-12 coin to me.

Nice case of gradeflation.
It would very possibly get a VF
BUT
According to the ANA grading guide it should at best be Fine.
Not a full horn.

Was surprised to find out that this coin has strong profile doubling to the right. Acetone bath then blotted dry and holdered.

In-hand photos taken w/flash.

FWIW, my eyeball grade was F15. I was surprised to see so many VF20's here given the weak horn.

I know what they say. but in my own opinion I can't see every VF-20-25 Buff having to have a full horn when the rest of the coin is decent .
