CuprousCoin Valued Member United States 226 Posts	Posted 04/26/2008 09:55 am I not a huge fan of toned coins, but I do have a few nice original toned MS examples that I like. This pic dosen't do the coin justice, as the Brown area is actually more red. in the right light the green is very luminescent. Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6399 Posts	Posted 04/29/2008 12:20 am Looks MS-65 to me. The toning sure appears to be original. The small dark spots on Liberty's cheek, neck, and cap wing could limit the final grade. 1939-D Mercs are fairly common in full-band mint state and this one might qualify, but the bottom band may be incomplete. hunter20ga Pillar of the Community United States 1173 Posts	Posted 04/29/2008 2:15 pm I would think MS65 FB...but I am not expert in grading mint state coins or Mercs, so take anything I say with a large grain of sodium chloride. Report this Post to the Staff
