1950-S Lincoln Wheat Cent, Die Gouge On Reverse & A Possible S/S?

chuckster 125 Pillar of the Community United States 4113 Posts	Posted 12/13/2008 3:16 pm Is this the classic Die Gouge on this 50S Cent? Also, any possible S/S with the mint-mark? I can't match anything exactly on CC's site so I'm leaning towards no, but would appreciate a definitive answer from the experts on this if possible. Thanks Chuck. Its hard for me to get a good angle sometimes when I'm trying to take a pic of a slabbed coin- reflection, light etc Lets just say photography is not one of my stronger points! (LOL) I'm pretty sure this is not an RPM, but it does have a nice die gouge on the reverse. Report this Post to the Staff

Jazzcoins Valued Member United States 301 Posts	Posted 12/14/2008 3:36 pm That is a big die gouge as far as the mm I think you have an inverted Mint mark. chuckster 125 Pillar of the Community United States 4113 Posts	Posted 12/15/2008 1:50 pm Hi Jasscoins Joe: Thanks for looking at the coin, but unfortunately, its not a Ball Serif- I re-examined it under 20X, and its a normal Trumpet Tail MM-004. for 1950. I'm not sure if anything else is even going on with the MM as a RPM either. Hard to get close with a piece of plastic in your way! Thanks again. Report this Post to the Staff
