Is this the classic Die Gouge on this 50S Cent?

Also, any possible S/S with the mint-mark?

I can't match anything exactly on CC's site so I'm leaning towards no, but would appreciate a definitive answer from the experts on this if possible.

Thanks

Chuck.

I don't see the RPM. Probably due to the lighting and the focus issue your images seem to have.

Thanks for looking anyway Chuck.

Its hard for me to get a good angle sometimes when I'm trying to take a pic of a slabbed coin- reflection, light etc

Lets just say photography is not one of my stronger points! (LOL)

I'm pretty sure this is not an RPM, but it does have a nice die gouge on the reverse.

Yup. The gouge is nice, but doesn't really have any bearing as an error or variety. It would make a nice marker for a variety if there was one on the coin.

That is a big die gouge as far as the mm I think you have an inverted Mint mark. The MM is the Ball serif style which is rarer then the normal style mm and fetched a nice premium

Hi Jasscoins Joe:

Thanks for looking at the coin, but unfortunately, its not a Ball Serif- I re-examined it under 20X, and its a normal Trumpet Tail MM-004. for 1950. I'm not sure if anything else is even going on with the MM as a RPM either.

Hard to get close with a piece of plastic in your way!

Thanks again.
