I, like most, have not found any thus far. What I have, one p & d of each nickel and dime, were bought for my date set. Personally, I think they are being horded by the roll.

So I may or may not have posted yet but we found a 2009s last night. I found a 2009d a month ago and still no p. They both where in circulated coin rolls. Found a few s nickels and a bunch from the 40s and 50s.i live in lower michigan area btw. They are not in the best shape but I will hang on to a few. Especially the 2009s.

Are you talking any 2009 nickel or just the Phillys?

Any, nickel or dime. And it's been another 1+ years and still none.

Yup, they're still just not out there. And it is still much worse for some people than others. Out here in Southern California, I find a 2009-D Nickel around every 700 coins. From what I've seen, this is not the norm - most people are lucky to find one every 2,000 to 4,000 coins. And the 2009-P Nickel seems to be a 1 in 7,500 to 1 in 15,000 or so find for most of us - though I've heard people in some parts of Florida have better luck.

The just published 2022 Red Book has finally taken notice of the scarcity and demand for 2009-P and 2009-D nickels, listing an MS-63 at $3, and MS-65 at $5 - for several years, these values were .30 and .70 cents respectively, barely more than the generic .25 and .50 cent values in said grades.

Personally, I have no problem getting $20 + shipping for a roll of XF/AU 2009-D Nickels on ebay, and I'm sure if I had a roll of circulated 2009-Ps to offer (I've found a total of just 99 examples in over 1.3 million nickels searched in 5+ years), I'd have no problem getting $40 + shipping for a similar XF/AU roll.

I have found only one 2009-D dime in the past 12 years, two 2009-P dimes.

No nickels ever, but the business strike finish on the nickel is very similar to the matte mint set finish of that year. Therefore I just plugged two mint set ones into my album.

They're just hard to find for pretty much everyone. I search a good number of Dimes - try to do 5-10K per month and I've only found about 35 2009-Ps and 185 2009-Ds in 5 years worth of looking.
