I don't remember ever seeing that before. in 1936 the 'Brilliant proof cent is considered a "type II" coin. The mint started making the 1936 proofs with a satin finish a "Type I" coin and only produced about 5200 of them before the population started complaining about the finish and actually started spending them. So the mint switched to the type II Brilliant proof for collectors. Now it is estimated that only about 500 to 600 of the satin finish coins are surviving now. Collecting since 1972.
