The new black bubble mailers seem to be more secure. I think it's a good move, so far.

Quote: Contents okay? Figured no time like the present to find out. Haven't looked at the coin yet, but the box/OGP looks just fine. I still think it's kind of sketch to send in a bag, even a padded one.

That's really nice! I think it looks better on this coin than the ASE. Maybe because I knew what to expect? I like this a lot.

Interesting packing - an attempt to save money? I mean the prices just aren't high enough to warrant a nice cardboard box (read in Heavy Sarcasm)
but a very nice Peace Dollar

Wondering if one bubble in the row is popped does the entire row deflate? That's what happens with the bubble wrap that's used inside the boxes.

Quote: Wondering if one bubble in the row is popped does the entire row deflate? No they are the type you can sit there and pop for a half hour. Or 2 pops if my wife is within earshot. My bigger fear in this is something along the lines of a sorting machine crushing it or it gets dropped and stepped on. With this coin, probably not a huge deal. But what about something that sells out in under 5 minutes and there's nothing going to happen along the lines of a replacement? That's my luck. Consolation would be that many items will have empty OGP available for sale, usually inexpensive.

Is that why it's $9.95 for basic shipping now?
Not a big fan of yet more plastic out there but I guess most of the packaging ends up in landfills anyway.

It was time for a Change, ... As far as the average person goes, Recognizing the " older " packaging, This is a Great move, Maybe Our packages from the Fulfillment centers Will make it to Their destinations, Until Everyone can easily recognize this. Awesome looking 100th Anniversary Enhanced Uncirculated Peace Silver Dollar , Sweet..... $9.95 Shipping !!!!!!! The motto on the U S Mint's mailing pictorial pamphlet, 2025 " a new era of Collecting " . Sad.

I still buy enough that the shipping is almost always free. Only if they have something special before I get 3 subscriptions, then I might pay. If enough items get damaged, I'm sure they'll return to boxes. The bean counters probably have this all calculated out already, though. I'm guessing more expensive items will still utilize the box, but who knows.

I received my 2026 Morgan EU yesterday in the black bubble bag and the contents were undamaged. The Peace EU might be here today. I expected them to be shipped together.
