Does anyone know if there's a video showing the US mints Riddler in action? I tried searching for videos but only came across videos that were asking you riddles about coins lol.
A Riddler is a machine used in Mints that sorts out wrong size and defective blanks in the early part of the minting process, ensuring that only proper blanks get minted into coins.
It was about 10 seconds in one of the 3- to 4-minute B-roll videos of how coins are produced. Might have been one of the State Quarters. You've seen dozens like this. Start with loading a coil of steel into the blanking press... follow it through the process. Lots of carts moving and shiny stuff being dumped from totes.
