RollHunter Pillar of the Community United States 687 Posts	Posted 06/25/2011 11:10 pm Just bought my first gold coin and I'm a bit hesitant to post but here it is. The strike isn't super great, but I don't see too much wear on it. The scratches on the reverse are much more prominent in the pics than in hand. Does that look like a cleaning attempt or is it natural? Since the coin is so small you don't really see those too much. I paid $235 - how did I do? Opinions? Report this Post to the Staff

I'd give it an AU-55; just a bit of wear on the top of the folded wing on the reverse and bit of chatter on both sides. At $235, it's steal! High AU details, net XF/AU with the cleaning. I think you got it about $30 too cheap. Congratulations. Be careful about fakes. Raw 2.5 Indians are a NIGHTMARE! Report this Post to the Staff
