this coin is a higher end VF and looks like it was possibly polished with fine steel wool and then retoned giving the coin a red metallic purplish color. feel the coin and if it feels really smooth then its been polished with steel wool.

This is a nice draped bust Half Cent. It looks to have had an old cleaning.

I would give this coin a VF details grade.
