Petersun Pillar of the Community Canada 1700 Posts	Posted 01/06/2012 10:22 pm I got one 2011 Grant Dollar with the statue of Liberty. Where can I see the date and the mint mark? Maybe there aren't any? Report this Post to the Staff

Petersun Pillar of the Community Canada 1700 Posts	Posted 01/06/2012 10:47 pm I like the "IN GOD WE TRUST" more than the "E PLURIBUS UNUM". The reason for that is because if you know some Latin, you would know what it means: "One out of Many", or anything similar to that. Search on Wikipedia. Report this Post to the Staff
Petersun Pillar of the Community Canada 1700 Posts	Posted 01/06/2012 10:47 pm By the way, the coin still has the Latin phrase on its edge or side. Report this Post to the Staff

Since 2009 it has been on the obverse of the coin so it will be below Grant's bust. Report this Post to the Staff

paparet Valued Member United States 253 Posts	Posted 01/07/2012 1:19 pm I have found the date and mint mark on the edge of the Pres dollars makes it much harder to ID the mint mark. You have to rotate the coin and sometimes flip it to find the date and mint mark. Very cumbersome and time consuming. Wish they would move the date and mint mark to the obverse as they did the "In God We Trust". Report this Post to the Staff
