Some people just have no morals. Then again, caveat emptor.

One day, I will own ebay and get rid of these shoddy types of auctions. Though, Gothic is right, it's the buyers' responsibility of purchase.

He's not really selling it for $1000. He sells them for like 16 bucks each. He states "I will put the price back to normal in a few days, Check back!".

However, $16 is still a ripoff when you can get them for face at any bank.

5800+ hits, where the typical collector coin is lucky to get 50.

I suspect the $1000 is just a placeholder. ebay has offered tons of free listings lately.

He's used this ad for awhile, he mentions $42 silver.

How is this shoddy? (besides the $1000 placeholder, which he even acknowledged) he picks up the rolls from the bank, sells them for $16.95 each...there's not even a need for him to search them first considering he's profiting $350 a box. For everyone that says "you can just pick these up at the bank" actually you can't...I haven't picked up a single S&S wrapped roll yet. You only get these rolls from full boxes.

With all of his disclaimers, I think he's being more honest than a large percentage of ebay sellers.

I have seen them sell for close to $20 on ebay and have always wondered what % of the buyers have actually found silver.

I am picking up a box of half's this week, wonder if it would be worth placing a listing on ebay just for fun.

Buy a bunch of halves, put a 40% in each roll, maybe a 90% instead in every tenth rol. Ask $22 a roll. Won't be long before you have great FB.

By shoddy, I mean like biggfredd just explained. He says ``unsearched``, yet he's probably looked through all of them, took the nice ones, puts in a melt value 40%er and makes a profit. That's a shoddy business in my opinion.

How in the world did a random $1 gold piece end up in an ``unsearched`` roll of '09 S wheaties.

Yet another excellent reminder of why purchasing rolls on ebay is bad. Go to the bank if you want unsearched rolls or boxes for a legit price!

The risk for those rolls could be high.

10x, so you calling this guy shoddy is based SOLELY on a presumption of dishonesty based on NOTHING factual at all. Nice.

I sell rolls of higher quality 76 halves above face value. Nothing any of us here cant get by going through rolls of halves. So the people who buy them from me are stupid? Hardly. they just dont want to do the work I do for them. The same people dont want or know to get boxes from the bank. And how many times have people said their bank wont order them boxes. PLENTY. So what choice does someone in Bumflop Dakota have aside from getting stuff from this guy or someone else doing the same?

Agin, folks defaming someone based on absolutely nothing. It really is getting old.
