I have a lead on an 1872 H in Id say high G-4 to low VG-8 condition for $24 Coinandcanada lists a VG-8 value of $230 for this coin with a mintage of 1,000,000 how did they come up with such a high value?

Buy it - That coin in that condition is worth at least double that. Check completed auctions on ebay...

Yes, I'd be all over that deal. I believe the values shown reflect the trend values that dealers are reporting they're selling the coins for.

maybe I got it already....
if it is on the bay, there is NO way you get it for $24..
I will be listing an 1892 10 cents large 9 2/1 later today..
it is only G4, maybe 6 , I let the chips fall where they may fall . This coin is scarcer than a hens teeth in 1892 Obv6..

Just make sure it's not a NFLD issue. Then you wouldn't be getting such a bargain.

Received it today. This is one nice coin for $24. I will try and persuade the more computer literate family members to help me post an image. The seller is more of a stamp guy which is why I think I got such a good deal on it.

Even though they are scarce to acquire in grades above EF-40, they are still relatively inexpensive in higher grades. I picked up this SEGS , MS-62 piece not long ago for a mere $550.00.
