It's natural. There are certain types of old coin holders and albums that cause that sort of rainbow rim toning. It's got that crusty/flaky look that is common with natural toning but is very hard to reproduce on a doctored coin. It's in an ANACS MS65FSB slab, so they agree anyhow.

Nice, oih82w8. Now lets see that coin's best face, the reverse. Forgot to mention that that half completes my typeset of circulating halves of the 20th century! Idealy, that half would be a 1915-s, but the one that was there was $55 over what I wanted to spend.
