Don't normally buy a lot of US coins, but picked these up at just around melt: Do you guys think the Franklins may have been cleaned at one point or another?

I definitely paid a premium, actually had a couple of people that thought it was an AT job. Having the coin in hand, I can say I seriously doubt it. There is some of the "pull-away" toning around the stars, date and some of the lettering on both sides, which is supposed to be very difficult to pull of in an AT job. I've seen this color combination on other coins; I also own an 82-S Morgan with similar colors on the reverse.

This is my first purchase, a 1945 D Mercury dime. I have one that was passed down to me but in a much lower grade.
