Tough Date? - Coin Community Forum

Wornslick Pillar of the Community United States 1304 Posts	Posted 01/23/2012 7:33 pm When looking at coins on the net, in this case a 1887-S Morgan, I keep seeing the words "Tough Date" in the description. Just what do they mean by that? Tough to find, tough in certain grades. Is it like "key date"? Or is it just another selling tool? Report this Post to the Staff

I've seen tuff date, rare date, very nice date, scarce and on and on and on with anthing that could make someone jump to get it. Quote: Just another selling tool that I have seen.
