I don't remember making it back to their table... oh well, there's always next year. Now I know their names, I can look them up. Do either of them have an actual website where they sell their tokens? I spent the first 2-3 hrs at the show at Steve Hayden's table... I guess I need to do better scheduling my time while there

@ DaveH: Neither has a website, but they both have stores on ebay and sell there quite a lot.

Ok, thanks. I do watch a lot of their CW tokens (which are usually very nice) on E-Bay, but the prices there have continued trending up for the last few yrs. I used to buy most of my tokens there, but now have found it's getting cheaper to buy at coin shows... Have the Lakeland Collect-O-Rama show next month, then the summer FUN show. Although there won't be as many CWTs at either, at least there'll be some to look at.

WOW is right. I've got a couple on watch myself, and expect similar results.

I believe it... the tokens you're watching are probably R7-R9 though

The Marshall token with the fish is quite common, being an R1 or an R2. The pictorial CWT's in general seem to be gaining in popularity, but I can't comprehend how the bidding got so feverish on this one ... something's fishy, methinks!

I know it's a popular token, but not worth anything close to what it ended up going for. There have been several I have seen on E-Bay (an MS-63 is listed right now) that were VERY nice that aren't worth what that one went for, so I concur w/ you... something FISHY for sure... Here are several of the nicer ones I've seen http://www.ebay.com/itm/M-L-Marshal...047675.l2557http://www.ebay.com/itm/13109530885....m1423.l2649

I picked up this nice 176/271 last week. A common token, but this one has a great strong strike and quite a bit of character and nice surfaces.

Brandon, NICE pick up! I love the toning! I have one graded exactly the same, but mine doesn't look as pretty as yours! The green & purple coloring is primo in my book. Congrats!

Beautiful brg, great surfaces and the contrast of the toning makes the detail just pop off the piece.

Here are the ones I have photographed/scanned. All these were found in mixed lots of foreign coins. Enjoy. Gen Little Mac Our Little Monitor Army & Navy Showerman J. W Low

One more off the Michigan towns and cities list. This token has problems, as you can see, most likely a ground find. Believed to be the work of S. D. Childs of Chicago. Today Maple Rapids is a very small village to the northwest of St. Johns Michigan. Token collectors think this is the second most difficult Michigan town token to obtain. Rated as a rarity 9, meaning that 2 to 4 are estimated to exist I am quite glad to have found this one, especially at a price significantly below market. This leaves me with six to go.

Congrats PennyGuy! When things are that rare a dug coin is quite acceptable IMHO.
