Fuzzy, very nice . Is the coloring accurate, or is it darker than reflected in the picture?

That's quite a few, so I'm assuming you have more than just a casual like of them... When I started collecting 6 yrs ago, I thought I wanted to be a US type collector, but after learning about CWTs, that's all I collect now

Its a part of my collection, not minor or not major, just in the middle I have the "Guide Book of Civil War Token" so I can identify and attribute CWT. Since other parts of my collection are either waiting on next year's coins, and my BYS has slowed down, CWT's got my attention.

OK, I know it's not a CWT or store related. Or even American! But there doesn't seem to be a 'new acquisitions' thread and it is advertising/ promotional related and I wanted to show it off! An advertising jeton (token) for Kina Perrier (a kind of aperitif) from France. Sadly I don't have much more detail than that! It's gilded brass, 23mm diameter (little smaller than a Quarter). The obverse shows 'Marianne' wearing her traditional Phrygian cap as The Republic. The bust design resembles that of Eugène Oudiné who was an engraver at the Paris Mint, although this particular Marianne was never used on French coins only appearing on some from Argentina. I don't even know whether it was engraved by Oudiné or is just a copy. There don't seem to have been copyright issues in those days and a couple of coin designs seem to have been adapted for use as advertising jetons. Not rare AFAIK, but seems to be in decent condition with most of the gilding intact and nicer 'in the hand' than the photos! Anyone who has further information than that, either about the design or Kina Perrier (which I believe was a vermouth like drink containing quinine?) please chip in! .

Wow, those are some great grades Dave. Congrats. I especially like the Yankee Robinson at MS65. Surprised they don't report the population at that grade on the cert look up page.
Just went and looked up the pop stats, your MS65 is the finest known. WooHoo

Hflirn, nice Arcade House token. I also saw your HE Shaw CWT in your other post. How many CWTs do you own? You should add more pics of your tokens here in this thread. Best topic thread (in my opinion) on the CCF site
