Growing up, my father would occasionally show me a tiny little coin and tell me what an amazing coin it was, and that one day it would be mine.

There are several in the box of this size, so I can't remember far enough back to pick out which one it was he'd always boast about -- so here's the first one of its size:

It's a late Roman bronze. I need to be able to read the obverse legend to identify these. I think I can read "DN VALEN..." , which narrows it down a little bit, but not completely. There were three late Roman emperors named "Valentinian", and one "Valens". The reverse appears to be the emperor standing, holding a globe and military standard. But I don;t think I can extract any further details.
