And love the signature notes, Steve. Um... possibly a silly question but does it cost extra for the TPGs to authenticate those courtesy autographs?

Thanks celtic. I was debating to go mid-grade like I usually do, but this time I decided to go GEM on the North Africa $1. I may try to buy some Gems here and there. I would like to acquire the Red S and R stamped silver cert's in a finer grade, perhaps. We'll see..

found this bill out in the wild yesterday. Kind of an interesting serial number. Wish it was a $1 or $5, will probably end up spending but I thought it was kind of neat.  |

Missing signatures is common for obsoletes. That is a very interesting note though, it almost looks like it is 3D or something.

I believe obsolete notes that are unsigned are what they call "Remainders", meaning notes not issued. I have a remainder sheet of obsoletes.  |

Very cool sheet Steve and your right...they are called remainders when they are unissued or not signed. A lot of states would turn these notes over and print more currency on the back of these notes and issue them. I posted a few examples of this just yesterday in the "confederate notes" thread. I find these to be interesting notes and it showed just how tight times were back then.
Techwriter...I like that .20 cent note. Thanks for sharing.
