My latest, a National $10 from the Anglo & London Paris National Bank of San Francisco. There are lots of these around so not hard to find, but I had to have one because I love the name of that bank. A link to the history of the bank. https://blogs.wf.com/guidedbyhistor...lo-californ/

Nice addition @yamikaboy, I like the name of that bank.
Do you only collect California Nationals, or do you also collect other states ?

I got these 2 $5 1934-D silver certs at a local flea market for $10 apiece. In my opinion they are around AU condition.

Quote: Do you only collect California Nationals, or do you also collect other states ? SteveInTampa, I concentrate on Washington State nationals, plus sometimes those from Oregon. Plus, sometimes Kansas, where my forebearers came from. Some really interesting bank names also catch my eye. Perhaps I get carried away? YB

@yakimaboy, it's easy to get carried away with Nationals. I started out just looking for Tampa Nationals and it quickly expanded out to Florida Nationals, and then Nationals from where my family members were born, and then where they currently live, and so on and so on. My latest pickup is a series 1963 $1 B-B mule. The serial number is one number from being the highest B-B mule printed. The back plate was used for the printing of series 1957B $1 Silver Certificates. Looks to have GEM centering.

YB - Nice pickups at $10 each. And - we all get carried away - that's the fun of it.

Here is the 25c note on Rising Fawn. They did like fancy vignettes. I only collect fractional pieces and these fit nicely in my collection.
