Which one do you mean coinfrog? The 1914 10 or the Hawaii 5 or the 1891 20?

I found these two beauties on a European auction site and only paid $7.80 total for the two. A 2003 and a 2003A low print run (320,000)star note. What a steal. Rarely do you find these notes in heavily circulated condition let alone in CU.

Yes, you are correct total printed is much higher, but many people collect star notes based on which run they originate from. For the 2003 it was from the second run B-2 and only 320,000 are printed. Much harder to find this note, than say the third B-3 (New York run) where 3.200.000 were printed. To complete a set most will grab the first note they can at the cheapest price possible. Only 10,000 sheets were used for this run. I would like to eventually have one from every run. Long term goal.

CK - Great example, dating almost certainly from the year 1963, near the end of the Silver Certificate era and the total takeover of fiat money in our system.

I was shopping for a CU note to fill a spot in my album but realized I would probably be better getting a graded one, based on past advice & input from you and Steve. So this is what I ended up with. I'm pretty happy with it.

The '34 $10 is a so-called "Light Green Seal" (LGS). If you examine all denominations of the Federal Reserve notes from 1928 on to the 1050s, however, you will see many different shades of green, ranging from the beautiful lime shown here to almost a forest shade.
