CK - Wow!

Stever - How you find these I can't imagine.

tech - It's close on that '34 $10, but you have 3 off margins on this, which usually pushes it down to 63. Not worth the cost to resubmit, imho. The price spread just isn't there.

I've been collecting this serial number for so long, that I would say the notes find me. Many dealers and collectors know that I collect #12 and I get emails and phone calls when someone sees one for sale or at auction. I also belong to several paper money forums, and one of them has a want list for collectors that matches them up with serial numbers they look for.

This is too flippin' cool not to post. This note survived the great Chicago fire of 1871. On top of that, it's a very rare fractional specimen hand signed by Jeffries/Spinner (FR 1274 SP). It also has a letter with it that describes where it was found. Too cool!

Came across it on ebay. One of those random items with a neat story.

I love fractionals ^^ they are fun for a few reasons in my opinion. Firstly the artwork and designs are neat. Secondly I think because they were produced in numbers they are fairly affordable in decent condition considering how old they are.

I haven't been actively collecting lately for a number of reasons but just thought I would look through everyones new additions... great to see the same old faces (Tech and Coinfrog) with some great notes, particularly like those $20 gold notes a couple of pages back. Congrats Jimjumper.
