Techwriter I really like the 1928 Tate Mellon 20 anyone have any idea what is an average price for such a note in this nice condition?

santafe, don't know for sure but for what I paid I figured it was well worth it; too bad it's got the small corner fold. But it is a nice note.
coinfrog, dealer had it for $150 so I told him I would pass, he asked what I'd pay; a little bargaining and he said okay.

tech -

Your Cleveland $20, along with the Chicago and New York issues, are the most common among the 12 districts of this first year of the FRNs. These were apparently saved in considerable quantities and are surprisingly affordable today even in high grades.

I recently picked up this raw example, fully crisp and original (now in a long line for submission) for $160 at a sparse on-line auction.

santafe - Price sounds fair if indeed AU and decently centered. Never buy a poorly-centered note of any grade unless a rarity.

Looks like everyone has been finding some nice notes! I haven't posted in quite a while but have been watching all of the posts. Especially like that 1922 $20 GC. Good score!

Coinfrog - A while back I posted a $5 north africa front plate #307 and you recommended I get the "Standard Guide to Small-Size U.S. Paper Money". Wanted to let you know that I did pick up a copy of the book and it is great! So much valuable info (learned my $20 Hawaii note is a lfbp 204!). So thanks for recommending that!

Here are a few of my recent pick ups. The 2013 $20 radar is brand spankin new and I actually got that out of an atm when I was getting money out to go buy notes!

Flick - Nice pickups, glad you're enjoying "the bible" of small US notes.

tech - Great! You seem to be stepping it up a notch.

This came in the mail today. Pretty but nothing too special, just a type note hole filler for my album. CU but left-right margins are a bit off.

coinfrog, this is up close of my previous post of the 63PPQ from a distance. I'm going to resubmit for a reholder; thought about maybe chancing a re-grade as it seems to be maybe a 64; but I'm worried that the poor centering of the reverse would keep it from the 64PPQ. Nice note and really nice price.
