So this is known as a woodchopper huh? It always struck me funny that the space is wide open on the left reverse. Could have printed at least half of that text that's on the right side in there?

And a couple Black Eagles have landed. These are called Black Eagles right? One has a staple removed and a little rough but the other is quite nice.   Edited by TNG

Those are three very nice notes!
Is that large open space on the left reverse of the woodchopper for viewing the watermark?

No I just looked, there's nothing there that I can see. I'll be done posting pretty soon with my smattering of paper currency. These are so crisp and bright, but I have no idea what they are worth. Pretty girls on these Vietnam era military payment certificates Series 641. I'd have a set, I think, if I had a $5.00 and $10.00 issue too.   Edited by TNG

I'd much rather have an Indian Head Eagle and St. Guadens Double Eagle than these two Gold Certificates. The $20 is really nice.   |

And here's three more Funny Backs One 1928A and Two 1928B  A Hawaii 1935A which apparently was counted by the same idiot who counted my $10.00 Gold note shown above with a 50 written on it.  and at the end of the parade is the Red White and Blue A nice silver certificate from series 1935D without "In God We Trust" A pair of $2.00 US Notes from 1953A and 1963 one with and one without "In God We Trust".  |

I must have missed this pair of 1874 Fifth Issue 10 cent Fractional currency notes. It appears William M Meredith is no so happy, maybe because he didn't get on the 50 cent issue.  Edited by TNG

From what I know of Meredith, he IS happy in this portrait.

Meredith was secretary of the Treasury in 1849-1850 and later a well-known Pennsylvania politician. His photographs and other images always show him with a jowled, sourpuss face.

The only other paper I have is some note with Saddam Hussein that I keep hanging  around and some bicentennial $2.00 bills which really aren't worth posting. I do have these. My son-in-law is from the Philippines. I have always thought they were neat looking, especially the overstamped VICTORY on the back. So my show is over. For now anyway, I sent the rest to auction.   |
