Interesting. Perhaps you would explain to us what "Remainder" signifies in the description?

A "Remainder" Bank note is a note that has been prepared for issue, but not issued for one reason or another. Maybe the bank failed or merged with another issuer. Typically they are not signed and in uncirculated condition. Beginning in the 1860's, Obsolete bank notes began to be replaced by notes issued by the Federal Government .

A couple more fractional notes ordered and on their way, I am gradually filling a type collection, then I will have to consider whether I want all the variants (perforations/straight cuts, thick key/thin keys and other variations like seal colours etc) I think I would probably be better to save my money and try to get some great notes like I see in this thread... Gold certs, Buffalo, Indian, Poker chip and Educational notes.   |

Same here, very little interest in PM locally. My LCS only shows a dozen notes or so in their cases.

Picked this up recently, nice and crisp with great centering and embossing. Will go to PMG eventually. Next to the Bison, I think this is my favorite note design. I have a real weakness for it.  |

tech - This is a 1934 Mule DGS star from SF. Has to be worth, what, $25 even in this condition?
