Hey Coinfun31. Thats a nice assortment of notes you have there. Very cool to get an old 20 from an atm. In regards to your 1929....It looks like it has had a pretty rough life and perhaps it has spent some time in water. I'm guessing that may be why it feels different. If you've ever accidentally washed a note with your laundry you may have noticed it felt different after it dried out? Or it may just be because it is so worn so the paper has been through more than most notes.

Wow, looks like I haven't posted any finds since March! Makes sense though. its been a crazy busy summer for me. I have been checking out all of the posts though and it looks like people have been finding some awesome stuff. I have been able to add to my collection a bit here and there. here are a few of my finds from over the summer..... picked this up today. thought the faulty alignment was a cool bonus.  1928A star note and experimental XB block (this is the better of two I picked up).   1950c with a few gutter folds  A new addition to my large size collection (I think I'm up to 6 now). 1907 Teehee/Burke  And this was my best find of the summer. North Africa star! I was keeping an eye out for a regular example and this one just happened to cross my path.  So ten years ago last month I started saving every note that I found (I mean on the ground). My friends think I'm crazy for doing this but I thought it would be interesting to see. I took this photo last month and since then I've found another 20 and two more ones. I write the date on each one and where I found it. So far I'm averaging over $20 a year.  |

I have also found 3 wallets and a debit card in that time. All were returned to their owners. In that row of notes there is a 1957 silver certificate that I found in a book on paper money errors that I bought at a garage sale for 25c. As far as I can tell it's not an error :)

I found a folded up wad of 2 $5 and 2 $20 bills in the parking lot at work Friday

Flick's stash of found notes is most impressive. I don't think I've found that many coins in my life, let alone notes!
