ron6788 - Would you mind showing us the reverse of this note? The obverse centering is superb, and I'm curious to see what hurt the grade.

Jbuck,

From ron6788's post of the face of the note you can see he bought it at a Heritage Auction, so you can look it up if you want.

What HA said was wrong with the note isn't apparent from the posted photograph. It isn't even that apparent to me looking at the HA site and enlarging their photos. This may be one you have to see in hand to understand the grade given by PCGS.

ron6788,

Please do post the back of the note. I think it looks as good as the face for sure.

Weird given the PPQ designation. I'll try to look it up. Thanks.

Nice - looks EF or better! Somewhere I have this same note - I'll try to dig it out.

Bought all of this last week at just over face, except for the national in the top left. Already sold it all except the $20, which I will be keeping.

These came in while I was at the coin shop last week. Asked the coin shop owner to price them as I handed them to him and I ended up paying less than double the face value for each.

I'd say VF35. Lots of snap in the paper still.

Sure sounds like he did. Less than double face? I'd pay that in a heartbeat for that group.

That's a great deal, wheatback. How old are they? I seem to remember getting a bill like that in change at a casino a few years ago. (I used it to keep playing, lol.)

Here's a pic of the back of my MS62 Black Eagle. I cropped it so it fit under the 300k size limit.

The bill looks gem but it has some 'teller handling' crinkles, as the auction site says.

Thanks. I can see a point or even two off for the reverse centering, but I've always thought that teller "handling" issues would primarily affect the paper quality grade.
