And you as well, beautiful note and one I don't yet have. As I mentioned to you privately, I've changed my mind on saving for a 66 on the tough 1928A and 1928B issues - just too much money given other priorities.

Both fantastic notes! Makes me want to entertain putting my ongoing $1 silver cert project on hold and move to these.

Love the Deuces, but have always wished the paper was a shade whiter. Almost a year ago, I started looking to upgrade my 1896 Educational Ace. I owned, and sold a really attractive VF30 (no Q) to help offset the cost of a replacement. Fast forward to Long Beach and the Heritage Signature Auction. I called a friend, knowing they were attending the show, and asked that they view and give me their opinion on a note I had in mind. Long story short, I now have the replacement.....and the grade and holder nicely match my 1896 Educational Deuce.   |

Are you saying that the paper on USN twos is different from the paper on, say, SC ones and fives?

Maybe it's my eyes, or an optical illusion but the $2 USN's, even in uncirculated condition, appear to have a gray tint.
It could be the red versus blue or green.

I think that must be an illusion. I pulled out more than 3 dozen Red Seal twos and Blue Seal ones, and while the whiteness/brightness factor among them has a slight variance over the whole range, that variance does not correlate in any way to the two types.
