Well centered 2017 Mnuchin replacement notes. Nothing like the smell of new money.

Stever - Tell us about these if you will. Sleepers or just something inexpensive to put away for the next generation?

When I first started learning about and collecting modern $1 FRN's (1963 and up), my goal was to have every star note for every series and every district printed in CU or better condition. I was fortunate to complete this in 2015...and I just keep going.

The vast majority are very inexpensive, but there are a handful that are not.

Do you have a collecting strategy, Techwriter? I haven't been able to really nail down what you collect with your posts... other than it's paper money of course.

You can also tell it was in that wallet for a very short period of time. I don't know anything about grading currency, but I want to say it's under-graded. The paper quality is like new, which is what gives it the great eye appeal (also the nice clean even margins).

I love this statement from "Captain" re: his gorgeous 1896 Education note. I also appreciate his subsequent comment re: getting an "AU" like note for the price of "EF." When it comes to buying original high quality notes with super eye-appeal- this is a great way to go.

Also really appreciate "tech writer's" 1918 notes in similar grades...(love the simplicity of the back designs)
