I'm happy, I got a new National...
About the Bank you will find very little information.
The old main building was demolished last year.
But here is a picture where you can see the name of the bank.
The Bank was founded in 1908 as Public Bank of the City of New York.
In 1917 the name changed to that name which we can find on this charter bill.
On 04.08.1955, the Bank was acquired by Bankers Trust and called then The Merge To State Bankers Trust Company.

Took my Mother to lunch today. She knows I collect coins and notes, and she gave me the note pictured below.

This worn and stained $2 bill was found folded inside my Grandfather's wallet. He was in construction, so it was probably carried and stained by several leather wallets during his career. It seems, the year 1928 was just a random year, since it was not a birth year, anniversary, or anything specific that my Mother could recall. As she said, probably just carried for cash in an emergency.

It is now in my wallet. Not for cash in an emergency, but to use when I need good thoughts in an emergency.

@Fuzzy that's a cool family piece

Series 1928-F notes were printed between 1946 and 1949.

Thank you Fuzzy317.
It was a update. My older bill was only in VF condition.
Now I have the $1 Red Seal Variants in nice condition together.

Hajduk, I think you would have a great time if you worked as cashier over in the states. I see older $10 bills like the one you posted in Ch. CU condition every now and then. I always try to keep the ones that have very little handling and no folds.

Hi Woodford,
ohhh yes, that is 100% right.
I would 1.5 months every year working for free.
However, I would have everything what is interesting for me sort out...
I also understand a little bit of $US.
I'm not a criminal, I speak a little English, perfect German and I speak Croatian and Serbian.
My Russian and Czech knowledge are good enough to change money without any problem. The numbers which are important for monetary I also learn in Spanish before I go work there.
Where is my holiday job? :-)
