$39 halves: tools, groceries, snacks

so count out 20 halves then 18 halves at the grocery for $18.91. she gives me change back as if they are $1 coins. since the store is a big box thing like Sam's Club they check the receipt on the way out, and I handed all the bills I had on me since I took only halves with me to the lady and told her after she checked me out that the cashier gave me change for $1 coins when I gave her half dollar coins. she had given me about $21 in bills when I only gave her $19 for the purchase. they tried to give me more money that I spent! how hard is it to read a coin when you have to check each one?

$42,882 to go.

EDIT:
$9 halves: milk and other drinks

$42,873 to go.
