Stopped at a Save Mart hoping to get yeast, 409 cleaner, napkins, and Chlorox wipes. Nothing! However, someone left some dimes and nickels on top of the Coinstar. One was a 1963-D Roosevelt. So, not a completely wasted trip.

Wow! Hit the JACKPOT a couple days ago. Was having trouble finding some basic "necessities" at the markets near my house, so I borrowed a neighbors car and drove out to a suburban grocery store. Not only did I get all my "necessities" but the CoinStar reject tray was FULL. Took three handfuls to get all the coins: Canadian coins, Euro coins, some US etc etc, but the real prize was 5 Mercury dimes. I mentioned before that I live in a big city and the homeless people and taxi drivers keep an eagle eye on the CoinStar machines in my area. So I was thrilled to find anything at all, let alone 5 silver coins. Yippee! (PS: I wore gloves and washed the heck out of my hands after.)

I was heading to starbucks yesterday inside the safeway and I peered into the reject try as I walked by and spotted one coin. I came back and got it and to my surprise, it was a 1920-S Mercury dime! it is probably AG03/04 condition but still!! pretty sweet
