Quote: A wadded up grocery receipt obstructed the nice 88 cent (US) haul which awaited me in the Coinstar machine's reject bin tonight... a quarter, five dimes, a nickel, eight pennies, a Canadian nickel and a 2 Cent Euro coin... upon closer inspection, two of the dimes turned out to be keepers! Nice finds!

I only found a handful of pennies including a 1976-D copper and a clad dime. Nothing really worth mentioning but it's free money.

After an unusually long dry spell, I looked in the CoinStar machine on the way out of the grocery store last night and saw one lonely dime in the return. 1953 philly - score!

So jealous! I'm batting 0.010 at my closest CoinStar, but located another just a mile further.

Nice, Bump111! Dry spells are part of the norm in the Coinstar game... I just keep myself positive knowing I'm one day closer to breaking the dry spell every time I go through one.

After months of no luck, I had two Canadian coins on Monday, and then this mini-haul of coins yesterday. The two Wheaties were from 1941. I'll take it!

Great group, aristarchus123!
Out of curiosity, how much do those two '41 wheat cents weigh?
