Hi George - I think you did very well. That's a great toned Dime. Great Provenance as well. You can't find them like that too often. I know, I am always searching for colorful coins. I spotted this Quarter at Legend's Las Vegas auction last night ... I actually was looking for an AU 58 - but said " what the heck..."

I picked this 1902-O Quarter up today - its a minor upgrade but it looks really nice - as soon as I get it - it goes to CAC - along with the new 1907-S Quarter in PC 45 and the 09-O Quarter in PC 58.

No sooner than I had agreed to the 1907-S Quarter in PCGS 45, I came upon this Gem... ....and, all I wanted was an AU 58....

I got this at the lcs they had it listed as a ms-64 it has good luster and some design is in the leaves, but with a small bag mark on face and some small surface scratches I think it is between a 61 to 63,still a nice coin.

Thanks for posting Kevin. Nice luster on your Dime. I received an email from Dave Kahn who had some nice Quarters - I already had those date however and in the same grades...so, I left the email page of his NEWPS and spotted this in V nickels... a collection I am slowly working on... looking for moderate priced MS coins ... Here's my newp: The miniscule tick under her eye is all that keeps it out of the Gem category - but, CAC liked it. So did I.

Found this coin on Great Collections ... Its a type 1 1892 Proof Quarter - recently upgraded and CAC'd. The start of a Proof Quarter set: Note Old Serial Number & Grade:{ Heritage Images } Note New Serial Number & Grade: { Heritage Images } Now: CAC'd....{ Great Collections Images } Close Up of GC's images....The OBV was over saturated by the lighting: While the REV is simply stunning....

Thank you elbesaar after viewing your graded coins, maybe my dime is a MS-64,or at least a 63 I think of coin shop grades as they might grade a little better to make a person think they are getting a better deal.

A dealer I have known for years and finally met at FUN had this on his site and although I have a nice 55, I've decided to get the minor upgrade.... Although a true 58, I still like the look of my 55 better: Guess, maybe I should have sent in the 55 for re-evaluation.

Well, ANA Dallas has come and gone. I picked up a few Dimes - One new Proof and two upgrades in MS. I also picked up a few ebay coins over the weekend. Heritage Auction wins: ebay Purchases.... My fiend and ex- student at ANA Summer Seminar will be imaging all of my newps that I have gotten since last Summer - when he spent two + days imaging 350 coins. Other newps are non Barbers....date set material from 1917 and 1921....mostly SLQ's.
