Went looking for a Simpulum, to my surprise I have one maybe two...i'll post this one first....

Obverse: Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, draped bust right

Reverse: PIETAS AVGVSTORVM, sprinkler, simpulum, jug, and lituus (sacrificial implements of the priest )

Reference: RIC IV: 143

Numismatic Notes: A scarce type in attractive grade about VF!
good ol' Herennius Etruscus is #98 and #104 on the two rarity-scales!!

=> this RULER is rating an average => #101 on the rarity scale!!

Diameter: 17 mm

Weight: 2.79 grams

Reverse: IIIVIR AAAFF around S.C.

Obverse: LAMIA SILIVS ANNIVS around Simpulum and lituus

Reference: RIC 74, 421. Cohen 339. BN I, 117, 580

General Comments: Quite Scarce, Nice tone, Better in hand!!

Background Info:

The quadrans (literally meaning "a quarter") was a low-value Roman bronze coin worth one quarter of an as.

Unlike other coins during the Roman Empire, the quadrans rarely bore the image of the emperor.
